Through its planned integration with Mitel Unified Communication solutions, IDgo is leveraging Mitel’s Workflow Studio and core platform features to give call agents a streamlined way to enroll customers in IDgo, view authentication results in real-time, and configure the solution with ease. 

We sat down with Rocky Scales, CEO of IDgo, to discuss the vision behind IDgo, its role in the Mitel UC Accelerator, and how this collaboration is shaping the future of authentication.

Rocky, what problem are you solving, and why is now the right moment to solve it?

Current consumer authentication methods in contact centers are vulnerable to fraud, inefficient and often a poor user experience. With data breaches and social engineering attacks and the ability of AI to produce fakes increasing and expectations of consumers on the rise that service delivery is efficient and simple, there has never been a greater need to deliver a simple, safe, secure authentication service.

How do you see your solution changing the way enterprises or customers operate?

Enterprises will be able to complete consumer authentication in contact centers in a much more efficient and secure way, while customers benefit from a simpler, faster process to access their accounts and stronger protection against fraud.

Today’s authentication methods often rely on sources of information like passwords, security questions, or one-time codes. These approaches are subject to being compromised, can be error-prone, cumbersome, and frustrating for users, leading to inefficiencies and security gaps. 

IDgo offers a completely different approach: a device-based authentication solution that does not require sharing information, eliminates friction, reduces the time to authenticate, and provides a higher level of assurance for enterprises and their customers alike.

How does working within the Mitel UC Accelerator open up new opportunities for IDgo?

As a leading provider of telephony platforms for contact centers, millions of authentications are being completed by call agents using Mitel products daily. Working with the Mitel UC Accelerator, IDgo can introduce a new authentication process that is efficient and easy to implement by Mitel partners and customers.

In what ways do you see your solution complementing or extending Mitel’s technology?

Integration of the IDgo authentication service with the Mitel platform provides call agents using the Mitel platform with a unified view within the Mitel user interface for the results of IDgo authentications and the ability to enroll a caller in the IDgo service easily.

What’s your long-term vision for the company and the impact you want to have?

Our vision for the company is to positively impact both consumer and enterprise employee experiences with authentication such that both have more trust in the authentication result and a more efficient and simple experience with IDgo authentication than any other method.
