The BlackBerry IVY L-SPARK Accelerator Program is looking for innovative Canadian companies with technologies that align with BlackBerry’s Intelligent Vehicle Data Platform – BlackBerry IVY. Participants will develop high-impact solutions leveraging in-vehicle data with a view to improving driver and passenger experiences.
BlackBerry IVY is a vehicle first, cloud connected software platform that presents vehicle data in a normalized format. BlackBerry IVY insights can easily be consumed by applications on or off the vehicle and are managed via a cloud console.
Join us as we accelerate the future of connected vehicles by partnering with game-changing companies that will leverage and extend the BlackBerry IVY platform. Applications are now open and will run until May 6, 2022.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop technology and business relationships with BlackBerry, the company that has the most widely embedded OS in vehicles globally.
Access to BlackBerry IVY
Participants will have access to BlackBerry IVY to build applications based on vehicle sensor data, without the need for specialized embedded or automotive software skills.
Each participant will be supported by a dedicated L-SPARK mentor who will work hands-on to guide the company in implementing their solution and provide business mentorship to accelerate growth.
Up to $50,000 in matching funding will be made available to participants through NRC-IRAP.

Learn how the Blackberry/L-SPARK Accelerator program helped Bluink grow
"Our collaboration with L-SPARK and Blackberry QNX was a tremendous accelerator for our AI startup. Access to the Blackberry QNX team enabled us to showcase our AI optimization platform in a real world assisted driving demonstration which has opened many doors for us in the autonomous driving sphere. The collaboration and mentorship from the L-SPARK team helped guide us through a critical fundraising phase during the pandemic and their sage advice was incredibly valuable. L-SPARK can amplify your messaging via their outstanding network and I would highly recommend the L-SPARK programs for any Canadian tech start up looking to get to the next level."
