Living Lab Accelerator Program
L-SPARK has partnered with the Kanata North Business Association (KNBA) and Hub350, the gateway to Canada’s largest technology park, to create the Living Lab Accelerator with the aim of accelerating customer adoption and real-world deployment of 5G and next generation technology solutions that support the Kanata North community’s live, work, play, learn and innovate lifestyles.
Program Details
Up to four companies will be selected in June 2023 to participate in the Accelerator program. L-SPARK, together with the KNBA, will facilitate finding a pilot site within Kanata North for deployment and demonstration of selected solutions during the accelerator period, July – October 2023, and showcase these solutions at the Hub350 Partner Summit on November 14, 2023.
Participating companies will work one-on-one with an experienced L-SPARK mentor over a four-month period to support the achievement of business objectives in parallel with the demonstration project. Companies will also benefit from biweekly joint meetings with their mentor and L-SPARK to problem solve and address growth opportunities.

Is there a cost to participate?
No, there is no cost to participate.
What stage of business should my startup be at to apply?
For the Living Lab Accelerator, applicants should have a product ready to deploy at least in a pilot stage. L-SPARK typically works with companies from early revenue to growth stages, supporting the company to move to the next level of growth.

My cofounder and I don’t live in Ottawa. What should we do?
Your business does not have to be Ottawa-based, but you should be prepared to work with a local partner in Kanata North to implement your solution or demonstration. Routine meetings with your mentor and the L-SPARK team can be done via videoconference.
